Is this venue suitable for wedding accommodation? Yes. We have 76 beds in five houses, many of our guests have their wedding reception elsewhere and use our venue for the family wedding party.
Is this venue suitable for wedding breakfast? Yes: We have a large hall in the Timber Barn can accommodate sixty sitting down.
Is this venue suitable for large weddings? Yes we have a large field with landscape views that can be used for tipi teepee or marquee weddings.
Is this venue suitable for DIY weddings? Yes. Most of the weddings here are DIY. We do not charge corkage and parking is free

Is this venue easy to get to? Yes. In West Sussex approx one hour from London. With access off the A29 and Pulborough mainline railway station nearby
Does this venue have landscape views. Yes. We are inside the South Downs National Park and have landscape view up the Rother Valley to the downs beyond.
Does this venue have wildflower meadows. Yes. The views from The House on the Brooks and The Mill House are over ancient meadows.

Can you provide fully catered corporate retreat? Yes, we have a good working relationship with catering companies. Providing a choice from silver service to a pizza van.

Does this venue have special activities to offer for team building events? Yes. We have an activity menu with diverse team activities. Paddle Boarding, Wild Swimming, Axe throwing, Zorbing, Walks in the countryside etc etc
Does this venue offer wine growing or vineyard visits. Yes. We are well situated in the heart of the English wine growing region, and can help organise visits to Nyetimber, Stopham, Nutbourne vineyards.
Does this venue offer wine tasting as an activity? Yes. Can be arranged in house or in one of the local vineyards.
What does this venue come with? Full linen on the beds and bathroom towels. Basic Kitchen ingredients are in the kitchen. Enough cutlery pots and pans for the number of beds in each of the houses.
Can I check in early at this venue? Yes. Often we are able to offer early checkin for no extra charge, but never know until the day before in case of last minute bookings
Is it possible to arrange viewings at this property? Yes. By prior arrangement only. Not possible if we have guests insitu.
Is it possible to have a yoga retreat at this venue. Yes. We have had many retreats here. The Timber Barn is suitable for twenty five mats or outside at The Mill House where we have a yoga pergola and wooded glade.
Are there any Spa facilities at this venue?
Yes. There is a Sauna and Rock cold plunge at The Tree Tops house.
What types of corporate events can be hosted at House on the Brooks?We host a wide range of corporate events including meetings, conferences, team-building days, workshops, training sessions, strategy retreats, networking events, product launches, and corporate dinners. We have great walks from the doors into the wilds.
What is the maximum capacity for corporate events? Capacity depends on the event layout (boardroom, theatre, cabaret, or banquet style). Please contact us with your preferred setup and guest numbers for exact capacity details.
Is the venue available for self-catered or self-catering events? Yes. House on the Brooks is available for self-catered and self-catering corporate events, giving you flexibility to use your own catering team or preferred suppliers.
Are there kitchen or preparation facilities available? Yes. The venue includes kitchen and food preparation facilities with pots and pans suitable for the numbers of each house. We have a list of recommended professional caterers, or you can bring your own.
Can we bring in our own caterers or food vendors? Yes. You are welcome to bring in your own caterers, subject to standard venue terms, health and safety requirements, and prior approval.
Are there any catering restrictions?All caterers must comply with local food safety regulations and provide relevant documentation upon request. Open flames, deep frying, or specialist equipment may require prior approval. We ask for professional caterers to be contracted to clean and clear tables and remove their waste.
Does the venue provide tables, chairs, and basic event furniture? Yes. Extra Tables, chairs, and standard event furniture can be hired from us or hired in from the client’s own contractor. Additional items such as staging, specialty furniture, or décor can be arranged at an extra cost or supplied by external vendors.
Is audiovisual (AV) equipment available? Yes. Limited Basic AV equipment is available. Please let us know your technical requirements in advance so we can confirm availability or recommend trusted AV suppliers.
Is Wi-Fi available for corporate events? Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the venue.
Can the venue be branded for our corporate event? Yes. Branding, signage, and décor are welcome, provided they do not cause damage to the property. All installations must be removed at the end of the event.
What are the event setup and breakdown times? Setup and breakdown times will be confirmed as part of your booking. Extended access may be available upon request, subject to availability and additional fees.
Is free parking available on site? Yes, on-site parking is available for guests. We have large car parking facility.
Is the venue accessible? House on the Brooks aims to be as accessible as possible. Please inform us of any specific accessibility requirements so we can assist accordingly.
Can alcohol be served at self-catered corporate events? Yes, guests may bring their own alcohol and consume it. We do not ask for a corkage payment. Alcohol may be served. For large Licensing requirements, responsible service, and bar arrangements must be agreed in advance.
What are the booking and payment terms? A deposit is required to secure your date, with the balance payable prior to the event. Full terms and conditions will be provided upon enquiry.
Is event insurance required? Yes, public liability insurance is held by the venue, but maybe required for larger or extreme corporate events,
Can we visit the venue before booking? Absolutely. Site visits are encouraged and can be arranged by appointment.

What size groups can you accommodate? We can accommodate small executive teams through to larger conference-style groups. Capacity varies depending on room layout and event format. Please contact us to discuss your group size and preferred setup.

Can we bring our own caterers for a conference or retreat? Yes. You may bring in your own caterers or chefs, subject to venue approval and standard health and safety requirements.

Is Wi-Fi suitable for conferences and business use? Yes. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the venue and is suitable for presentations, video calls, and general business use.
What audiovisual equipment is available? Basic audiovisual equipment may be available. If you require specialist AV for presentations, conferences, or hybrid meetings, we are happy to recommend trusted external suppliers.
Are breakout spaces available? Yes. The venue offers flexible spaces that can be used for breakout sessions, smaller meetings, or informal discussions during conferences and away days.
Can the venue be branded for our company? Yes. Corporate branding, signage, and presentation materials are welcome, provided they do not damage the property and are removed after the event.

This is a family run business with deep local connection.
What size executive groups do you host? House on the Brooks is best suited to small and mid-sized executive teams. The space is intentionally intimate, creating an atmosphere that encourages collaboration, open discussion, and thoughtful decision-making.
How flexible is the space for meetings and discussions? The venue offers design award winning rooms, flexible spaces that can be styled for boardroom meetings, informal strategy sessions, fireside-style conversations, or quiet breakout discussions. The Timber Barn used as a central hub where guests can dine together, whilst the other others a short walk away.

Is self-catering or self-catered dining permitted? Yes. House on the Brooks supports self-catered and self-catering executive retreats, allowing you to curate a dining experience that aligns with your team’s tastes, values, and dietary preferences.
Can we bring a private chef or preferred caterer? Yes. You are welcome to bring in a private chef or preferred catering team, subject to venue approval and standard requirements. This allows for tailored menus, relaxed shared meals, or formal dining experiences.

Can we host presentations or strategic sessions? Yes. The venue comfortably supports presentations, planning sessions, and facilitated discussions. Additional audiovisual equipment can be arranged if required.
Are there spaces for quiet reflection or informal conversation?Yes. Each house has it’s own private garden. The Mill House and The House on the Brooks both have large gardens and all houses have access via footpath to the Wild Brooks and to woodland. The property offers areas suitable for private reflection, one-to-one conversations, and relaxed discussions away from the main meeting space.
Are wellness or mindfulness experiences allowed? Yes. Executive retreats often include wellness elements such as yoga, meditation, breathwork, or coaching sessions, all of which can be accommodated with prior arrangement.
Is alcohol permitted during executive retreats?
Yes. Alcohol may be served responsibly, whether as part of an evening dining experience or informal networking, subject to agreed licensing arrangements.

What are the booking and insurance requirements A deposit is required to secure your dates. Public liability insurance is required for executive retreats, particularly for self-catered bookings. Full terms are provided upon enquiry.
Do you have team or workers accommodation?
Yes. Our midweek budget rates can start £25 ppn depending on the time of the year and how many workers for how long.
Do you have any availability Monday to Friday?
Yes. We often have availability Monday to Friday.
Do your prices include VAT? Yes. We can issue a VAT invoice.
Do your quoted prices include VAT? Yes. Unless we state otherwise, the prices include VAT.
Do you provide clean linen and towels? Yes. We provide clean linen and towels. We ask guests to bring their own beach towels for use in the Sauna and cold plunge.
Can we check in late? Yes. We provide full detail to enable late check-in.
Can we check in early? Yes. We will give you a time for your first check-in and then you can come and go as suits.
Can we leave cars parked at the property whilst the workers go to work. Yes. Free parking whilst during your stay. if you need to leave some cars behind no problem.
Can we have deliveries made? Yes. By prior arrangement. Usually to our office which is nearby. But we will not see in shopping.
Can we bring and drink our own alcohol on the premises. Yes. We have no corkage cost for all of our guests and events.
Is your venue self-catering? Yes. You can also organise a chef to come or a food van, we are very flexible.
Can we get food delivered? Yes . The village is one mile away, there is a Domino’s, Indian, Thai, Chinese and Posh cafe.
Can I get a good workers breakfast nearby? Yes. Great Full English in the Garden Centre, Macaris Cafe, and the some of the local pubs do breakfast.
Can I have an extended stay if the workers contract runs on? Yes. Often we can offer extended accommodation, maybe in one of the many houses on the farm.
Is there a washing machine for clothes? Yes. All the houses have a washing machine. There is also a spin dryer in Timber Barn
Is there a place to dry clothes? Yes. We are happy to provide clothes dryers on request.
Do you have a history for providing accommodation for seasonal workers? Yes. We are in the heart of the English wine growing country, so we are used to seasonal workers.
Can we bring a schools group to your property? Yes, We have had many school groups.
Can we bring faith groups? Yes. Very normal for us.
What is there to do for children aged 12-16? Yes. Plenty to do we have an activities menu that can be tailored by you to suit your group.
Can we walk from the door into the countryside without going down a road. Yes. We have wonderful walks right from the doors. Great landscape and into the 10 most bio-diverse square miles of the country.
Is there any interesting history to see. Yes. We have the earthworks of a Roman camp right on the farm, the hamlet church is a five minute walk and has some of the oldest Frescos in the country.
Is the occupation of the farm ancient? Yes. The farm has been occupied since Bronze age times. So possibly 3000 years BC.
Can the school do nature walks and collect natural specimens. Yes. Absolutely enjoy the natural environment and learn from it. Be aware that many species are protected by law from being “collected”.
Can we arrange transport form the local railway station. Yes. Pulborough railway station is a fifteen minute walk or a short drive.
Can we see farm animals and horses while we stay? Yes. Riding can be arranged in advance from local riding schools.
Can we light a fire and sit around it in the evening? Yes. Most of the houses have a raised firepit ideal for just that. You have to book some logs with us prior to your stay.
Can we BBQ? Yes. On the raised fire pits at most of the houses.
How far are you from the beach? We are about seven miles from the sea, there are several accessible beaches.
Can you cater for school groups. Yes. We can recommend caterers who will come and do all the food or just some of it, just as you like.
Is it cheaper to come mid week. Yes. Much cheaper to come for a midweek can start at £25 per person per night. Our weekend rates are much higher. Price depends on how many, for how long and what time of year.
Is there somewhere we can all eat together? Yes. The Timber Barn can be set up to sit sixty.
Is it easy to get to Arundel Castle? Yes. Catch the train from Pulborough ten minute train ride and then a ten minute walk in Arundel.
Do you have any Spa facilities? The Tree Tops House has a sauna and cold plunge. Free for the Exclusive use for the group if the Tree Tops House is booked.
Do you have any staff on site? Michelle Matthews is in our office from 7am weekday mornings, should you need help.
Is there plenty of parking? Yes. Plenty of free parking around the office building.
Can we drink the tap water? Yes. This where the tap water comes from. Southern Water have a freshwater plant nearby.
Can we buy local produce? Yes. From Charlies farm shop 3 miles distant.
Is there room for a bus to turnaround? Yes we have a large car park at the office.
Is there a Public Footpath closeby? Yes. You can access the Public Footpath system and have some wonderful walks from the door.
Is the South Downs Way close. Yes. About an hours walk, nice walk on Footpaths from Sutton or on B roads or footpaths from Amberley.
Is there space for us to play games? Yes. The Mill House and The House on the Brooks have large gardens. If you want more space just ask and we will try to accommodate, this is a farm.
Can we arrange to see the lambs and maybe feed some. Yes. Weather and time permitting by prior arrangement.
Will we see sheep dog’s working? Yes. If you are lucky but we don’t do demonstrations.
Can we see the Sea Eagle here? Yes. We do see them but not that often.
Can we see Red Kites here? Yes, often.
Can we see lapwings here? Yes quite often.
Can we go fishing? Yes by arrangement and in season. Not when the river is in spate is very dangerous.
Can we go foraging? Yes, but talk to one of us so we can tell you where.
Can we see sheep here? Yes, this is a sheep farm.
Can we do voluntary work here? Yes by prior arrangement.
Do you have any bio-diversity projects? Yes this farm is in one of the most bio-diverse areas of the country. It is a wetland farm.
Can we have a fire? Yes. Most of the houses have firepits.
Can we see fairy rings? Yes. We often see fairy rings at the right time of year, so just ask and we will show you one.
Can we go mushrooming? Yes. By prior arrangement.
Can we have a family party for our wedding which is held elsewhere? Yes. Many people use our accommodation as a base for the family parties and get married in a nearby wedding venue.
Can you name nearby and recommend wedding venues? Yes. Fitzleroi Barn, Two Woods, Southlands Barn, Bury Manor and Architectural Plants are all close by.
How flexible is your accommodation? Very flexible. You can rent one house or five. You can add a few beds on with Bothys. Most of our beds are zip and link so we can split according to request.
Do you have a honeymoon suite? Yes. Please come and have a look. All of our rooms are boutique design and themed with antique furniture. Likewise the ensuite bathrooms.
Do you have a local band to play dance music? Yes. Let us know what music you are thinking.
Can I bring a Dj set with a stack sound system. No. Sound carries at night.
Do the houses have blue tooth sound systems. Yes. Loud enough to dance to.
